Dieumerci Mbokani opens door to Everton move in Monaco quit plea

Monaco striker Dieumerci Mbokani insists the club's change of coach has made no difference to his desire to leave, opening the door to a move to Everton.[LNB]Goodison boss David Moyes is keen to recruit a striker after allowing Yakubu to join Leicester and has kept close tabs on Mbokani in recent weeks.[LNB]The DR Congo striker has failed to settle at the Stade Louis II since his summer move from Standard Liege, making just 10 first-team appearances as the Monegasques have slipped to 17th in Ligue 1.[LNB] Let me go: Former Standard Liege star Mbokani wants to quit Monaco[LNB]Guy Lacombe, who brought him to the club, was replaced by Laurent Banide on Monday but it has failed to persuade Mbokani to change his mind.[LNB]'I stand by my decision,' the 25-year-old, who has also been linked with West Ham and Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, told French sports daily L'Equipe.
