Dumbfounded: Everton manager David Moyes[LNB]Everton manager David Moyes admits he is shocked by his side's dreadful start to the season but insists his side can bounce back against Fulham on Saturday.[LNB]The Toffees' have collected just two points from their opening five Barclays Premier League games and they were dumped out of the Carling Cup by Brentford on Tuesday night.[LNB]But Moyes insists his side can turn it around as they have in the past and is not feeling under added pressure at Goodson Park.[LNB]He said: 'We started the season with the belief, coming off two defeats in 24 last year, that we would start the season well. It didn't happen and that affects your confidence.[LNB]'It's disappointing because I didn't expect this. We expected to start better after the good run we had last year.[LNB]'We want to do better and nobody cares more than the players, I can see that by their attitude and the way they are training.[LNB]'Football pressure is what I do, it is what the players do. It is why we are in the business and we will get on with it.'[LNB]Everton took just 15 points from their opening 14 games last season and Moyes is angry his team are being labelled as slow starters.[LNB]He said: 'I've been in this situation quite a few times now and it is always the same kind of people who come out and say things.[LNB] Cup woe: Charlie MacDonald of Brentford tackles Everton defender Sylvain Distin [LNB]'We turn it around and they come back again when we don't start the season well.[LNB]'But it's a difficult run. Five of the opening nine were away and two of the four at home included Manchester United and Liverpool I knew this start was going to be quite a hard one if we didn't get off to a good start against Blackburn and Wolves.'[LNB]Moyes is confident his side can bounce back against Fulham on Saturday after their woeful Carling Cup exit to Brentford.[LNB]He added: 'We have really moved on. We should have gone through but we have to give credit to Brentford because they are a lower league side and they hung in there and stuck with it.'[LNB]'We just couldn't score. We have got to try to create as many chances as possible at Fulham and hope some go in.'[LNB]  FA to investigate 'bottle throwing' incident following Everton's defeat to Brentford Brentford 1 Everton 1 (Brentford win 4-3 on penalties): Keeper Lee the hero as Moyes suffers cup shock EVERTON FC
