David Moyes rubbishes claims from Marouane Fellaini's father that Everton are to blame for injury

David Moyes will demand an explanation from Marouane Fellaini after the midfielder's father accused Everton of wrecking his son's season.[LNB]The Belgian will have surgery on Monday to rectify an ankle ligament problem that will keep him out for 10 weeks.[LNB] Crocked: Marouane Fellaini receives treatment for the ankle injury he picked up at Sunderland[LNB]But Moyes was furious with claims from Abdellatif Fellaini that Everton exacerbated the injury by making Fellaini play against medical advice in last Saturday ' s 2 - 0 win over Sunderland after he picked up a knock at Chelsea.[LNB]'Marouane was fit and wanted to train, so I'm really surprised by the comments,' said Moyes. 'I've let him go home for a couple of days, so I am looking forward to seeing him and him explaining what it was all about.[LNB]'He always wants to be out there. He wanted to train on the Tuesday (after Chelsea) and we held him back. He wanted to train again on the Thursday and I said no.[LNB] Innocent: David Moyes has denied any wrongdoing[LNB]'The boy was desperate to play, so we never saw this coming - there was no risk at all of him playing.'[LNB]Jack Rodwell will take Fellaini's place against Newcastle at St James' Park today - and Moyes wants to see more from the England Under 21 player.[LNB]He said: 'There have been signs of Jack coming back and realising, "Hey, you're not just a boy. You're a man and if you are in the team, you have to play like a man". He has realised it is not easy.'
