In: Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy, loan), Darron Gibson (Manchester United, £2m), Nikica Jelavic (Rangers, £5.5m), Steven Pienaar (Tottenham, loan)

Out: Diniyar Bilyaletdinov (Spartak Moscow, undisclosed), Louis Saha (Tottenham, free)

Verdict: A couple of excellent signings in Donovan and Pienaar. Also splashed out to bring in highly rated striker Nikica Jelavic from Rangers. Having lost star players in previous windows, many Everton fans may have been worried about a similar outcome this time around. This was not the case as Everton strengthened their squad and can now look to challenge for a European place.
