City confirm Jo loan exit

Manchester City have confirmed Brazilian striker Jo has rejoined Premier League rivals Everton on loan. Jo impressed at Goodison Park last season, scoring five goals in 12 appearances for the Toffees after arriving in the January transfer window. He had previously struggled to make an impact at City after netting just once in nine Premier League games after joining for £18million from CSKA Moscow. Everton boss David Moyes admitted at the end of last season that he would not be able to afford to re-sign Jo on a permanent basis. However, a season-long loan has been agreed between the two clubs, with the 22-year-old currently with the Toffees squad at a pre-season training camp in Scotland. Meanwhile, German teenager Shkodran Mustafi has expressed his delight at moving to Everton on a three-year deal from Hamburg. The centre-half told evertonTV: "It's a very nice feeling. It's one of my dreams to play for a Premier League club and that dream has come true for me. "I had three good years at Hamburg, but now this is a new chapter. It was a hard decision to leave home, but it's another country, another language and I'm looking forward to it. "I hope I have a good start and I can learn to improve on my weaknesses. Then I hope I can move through the reserves into the first team and get a chance to prove myself. I feel like I will get that chance here."
