[LNB]Wanted man: Hapoel Tel Aviv's Itay Shechter[LNB]Israel striker Itay Shechter claims that Celtic are pulling out all the stops to pip the likes of Liverpool to his signature. [LNB]The Reds, as well as fellow Premier League sides Everton, Newcastle and West Ham, have sent scouts to watch Shechter, 23, who has scored 30 goals in 54 games for Hapoel Tel Aviv since joining the club in 2009. [LNB]But Shechter says it is the Scottish giants who are currently in pole position to sign him, despite his preference for a move to Germany's Bundesliga.[LNB] 'I have offers from several teams but my agent, Ronen Katsav, told me not to get carried away,' he said. 'The one team who really want me and have made the most effort is Celtic. [LNB]'Liverpool and Lyon came to see me play but unfortunately I was injured. There is interest from Schalke and that would be the best move for me.[LNB] 'I think Hapoel will want to keep me in January because we need the team to stay together if we want to win the league. [LNB]'But I would be tempted if I got an offer from England, Spain, or Germany.'
