Captain Neville adds to Everton's injury woes after aggravating knee problem

[LNB]Phil Neville has become the fourth Everton player to suffer a setback in his recovery from a serious knee injury.[LNB]Manager David Moyes confirmed on Tuesday that Neville neededsurgery to repair minor cartilage tears and will be ruled out for afurther three or four weeks.[LNB]Neville did not go under the knife after he was carried off at Fulhamon September 13, but Mikel Arteta, Phil Jagielka and Victor Anichebeall required second knee operations and have yet to play this season.[LNB]'We've had too many,' said a frustrated Moyes.[LNB]manager David Moyes admits his long injury list has started to get him down after the latest setback to captain Phil Neville.   [LNB]The 32-year-old club captain has had to undergo an operation to repair a tear in the cartilage of the knee he injured at Fulham in September.  [LNB] Neville appeared to be on the verge of making a first-team comeback but now faces possibly another three weeks on the sidelines. [LNB] Injured skipper: Neville hurt his knee during the clash with Fulham in September[LNB]'When I knew about the operation I was disappointed because Phil is oneof the players we knew was closest to coming back to help us.[LNB]'We have Europe and games next week and a real tough period, and weprobably don't have too many people due back in the near future.'[LNB] Crocked: Phil Jagielka and Mikel Arteta have not played for Everton this season [LNB]Neville had set his sights on a return to action against his formerclub Manchester United last Saturday. Moyes felt that was a realistictarget, or at least tonight's visit to Hull or Sunday'sMerseyside derby against Liverpool at Goodison Park.[LNB]'He was close to playing against United and I thought he would probablyhave played somewhere this week,' added Moyes. 'The injury he hadagainst Fulham did not require surgery but the scan showed there was alittle bit of damage to his cartilage and he had micro tears.[LNB] Suspended: Diniyar Bilyaletdinov (above) and Marouane Fellaini are unavailable[LNB]'He trained all last week with the players and had been good. Then onFriday they sent him for another scan and that showed that the microtears had become bigger so they are opening the knee up to see whatthey need to do.'[LNB]South Africa winger Steven Pienaar, who has also been out with kneeproblem, is in line for a return at Hull this evening but DiniyarBilyaletdinov and Marouane Fellaini are both suspended.[LNB] We need help!
