Cahill is one of the best - Moyes
Everton manager David Moyes believes Tim Cahill is one of the best signings he has made in his time in charge at Goodison Park.[LNB] Cahill, 30, is preparing to face Blackburn, where he will be looking to add to an extraordinary statistic on Saturday at Ewood Park.[LNB]He scored twice against Aston Villa in midweek, which means all his seven top flight goals this season have come from headers.[LNB]Cahill has become a key figure for Everton after arriving in the summer of 2004 from Millwall.[LNB]Moyes said: "It has been his trademark that he can get goals with headers and find space in the box. It is not just his great leap. He is brave as well. If you are brave then you have a chance.[LNB]"You want to attack the ball and go and head it and he does that. Good players make it difficult for you to jump against them.[LNB]"He is actually very good with his feet as well. He has tended to get us 10 plus goals a season. I've had some good players and Tim is certainly up with the best.[LNB]"It has been a good bit of business. Everton has been good for Tim as well and helped him progress. He has certainly earned the status he has here."[LNB]Despite three successive draws Everton are still in with a chance of a Europa League slot after a poor start to the campaign.[LNB]Moyes accepts his team might have to win their remaining four games and even then they might fall short.[LNB]He said: "We played well and probably should have taken more points from recent matches. However you cannot expect teams to roll over and it has been tough.[LNB]"If we win every game, who knows, we may have a chance. I do know the lads are putting in a great effort.[LNB]"The damage was done in September, October when we thought our chance of making Europe had gone. We are now in a strong position compared to then."[LNB]Moyes expects a stern test against Sam Allardyce's Blackburn, who have lost only twice at home in the league this season.[LNB]"Sam has done a really good job and will see it as a good year. They have a terrific record at home, " said the Scot.[LNB]"He will always have his teams competitive and hard to beat.[LNB]"I see more physical sides in the league than Blackburn. They have some good players. David Dunn and Martin Olsson are giving them a little bit of flair at the right moments."[LNB]Midfielder John Heitinga is doubtful with a foot injury he sustained at Villa and faces a late fitness test while Mikel Arteta looks certain to remain absent with a groin problem.[LNB]Arteta is back in light training and Moyes said: "This game may have come too soon for him but it's 100% you will see Arteta by the end of the season."[LNB]
