Blue Boys: Everton FC youngster Harry Charsley has goal-grabbing knack

Midfield starlet Harry Charsley is developing a useful knack of appearing late in the area to score, says Kevin Sheedy.

The 16-year-old’s brace helped Everton U18s to a draw at West Brom on Saturday, and Sheedy was impressed. He said:

“He is getting quite a knack for arriving in the box unnoticed and taking advantage of defenders who have switched off.

“That is an ability which it can sometimes be difficult to coach into a lad, so it’s a good habit to have.

“Considering he is playing above his age group his development has been good and I’m pleased with him. Harry is one of several U16 players who are in the U18s group and they’re all getting very good experience from these games.

“His second goal came on the back of good work from Courtney Duffus and George Green but he was there to tap it in which was crucial. There’s plenty of hard work ahead though.”
