Jermaine Beckford has spoken of how he cried after earning Leeds United promotion, on the day he was allowed to leave the club.[LNB] The 26-year-old's four-and-a-half-year stay with the Elland Road club was ended on Friday morning, when, with a month left on his deal, manager Simon Grayson granted the striker permission to find a new club, with David Moyes' Everton almost certain to capture his signature.[LNB]Beckford scored 85 goals in 150 appearances for the Whites, the last of which came on the final day of the season against Bristol Rovers - the goal which secured a return to the Championship.[LNB]"I got to the changing rooms and put my head in my hands and the tears dripped down my face," he told LUTV. "I can still feel it now. It felt like such a weight had been lifted. It's what we've been searching for, for the past three years.[LNB]"I've enjoyed every single moment. The ups, the downs, the relegations, the play-off final, the play-off semis. I have had an amazing time here.[LNB]"You don't see as much as I've seen in four and a half years at Leeds and I'm so proud to say I was here. I've really loved it."
