Baxter pens Toffees contract

Everton starlet Jose Baxter has signed his first professional contract at Goodison Park, penning a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Premier League club.

The versatile midfielder only turned 17 last month, but has already made four first-team appearances for David Moyes' side.

Baxter told the club's official website: "I'm feeling great. It's a dream come true to sign a contract for Everton.

"To be offered a contract was a great feeling, but actually signing it was something else.

"I have to keep working hard now and make sure I earn another one in the future."

Baxter became the youngest player ever to start a game for the club when he lined up against West Bromwich Albion last August.
