The 20-year old had been on the blues books since the age of eight and was at a time regarded as the next Wayne Rooney.
He has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace in recent times and Baxter has not ruled out a move down south.
He said via his Twitter account: “For people asking I am not an Everton player or Crystal Palace player. But I’d love to be as they are a great team with a great future.”
