Battling Blues please Moyes

David Moyes hailed the defensive resolve and battling qualities of his Everton side after they secured a 1-1 draw at Chelsea thanks to Tim Cahill's late stunner.
Cahill drove home a superb overhead kick in the final minute at Stamford Bridge, just as the Toffees looked set to leave the capital empty-handed.
Moyes commented after the game: "I thought we were always in it, never out of it. We were gritty.
"I felt that in the first half we didn't get after them as much as we'd like. I thought the tiredness showed in one or two players after the midweek game in Europe.
"I think it was a deserved point. We had to come to Chelsea after the UEFA Cup and we've got a point. We showed an awful lot of determination and were never out of the game.
"Tim can get you goals and it was a fantastic finish. You just sensed if we could get near the goal we had people who could get us a goal. But we found it very hard to do that.
"I was glad to go in at half time at 0-0. I thought Joleon Lescott, Joseph Yobo and our goalkeeper were the best players on the pitch.
"I thought the two centre-halves were outstanding. Lescott dealt with one of the best strikers in Europe and I thought he was outstanding.
"He has become an excellent professional and he is really working hard to become better."
