Everton left-back Leighton Baines should be available for the hectic festive schedule after a scan showed that he sustained a hamstring problem in Saturday's win against Fulham.
Baines had to be replaced by Phil Jagielka in the first half of the 3-0 victory.
Everton head physio Mick Rathbone told the club's official website: "He's hurt his hamstring and we're going to give him intensive treatment to try and get him back for the Christmas fixtures."
Meanwhile, loanee Steven Pienaar hopes to make his move from Borussia Dortmund a permanent arrangement at the end of this season.
The 25-year-old South African told Sky Sports News: "I want to play (permanently) for this club.
"The supporters are unbelievable. They are always behind the team.
"My colleagues are so friendly and so warm. I think everyone would want to play for a club like this."
Pienaar has impressed for David Moyes' side so far this season, scoring two goals in 19 games for the Toffees.
