Aussies to try-out fringe players

Australia midfielder Tim Cahill hinted his side will look to give their second-string players a run-out in their friendly with United States.[LNB] The Socceroos beat Denmark with a near full-strength team at the same venue on Monday, with only injured duo Harry Kewell and Brett Emerton missing.[LNB]"It's important that as many of us play a part as we can in the USA game because it's not going to be about 11 players in this tournament," Cahill said.[LNB]"Come the back end, there's going to be a few surprises and maybe some youngsters coming through the wings and flying the flag."[LNB]The USA will be playing their first match since arriving in South Africa and are set to be without first-choice striker Jozy Altidore, who injured an ankle in the week.
