Aussie star will keep on playing
Everton midfielder Tim Cahill insists he won't be retiring from international football following Australia's exit from the World Cup.[LNB] The 30-year-old also agrees with fellow countryman Brett Emerton, who expects many of his Socceroo team-mates in the over-30 age bracket to play on after the encouraging conclusion to the campaign in South Africa.[LNB]Australia might have been eliminated at the group stage of the tournament but Emerton feels the gritty 1-1 draw against Ghana and the impressive 2-1 victory over Serbia will encourage those thinking of quitting to stay on.[LNB]Cahill said on Everton's official website: "I'm a very proud Australian. I have played a lot of games for this country and put my body on the line and I give everything. I'll keep playing for as long as I can. The only thing that will stop me is serious injury."[LNB]He added: "We deserved that win (against Serbia), we came back in the Ghana game and showed our spirit. We're a great group of lads that really care for each other. I'm just proud to be part of this team.[LNB]"Four points in a competition like this is exceptional and we won our last game against a very good team. We were very unlucky not to go through."
