Arteta lauds Toffees starlets

Mikel Arteta believes Everton's talented youngsters have the potential to become established stars.[LNB] The likes of Jack Rodwell and Dan Gosling have already left an impression on the Toffees' first-team fold this season with a number of mature performances.[LNB]Both have found the target in Everton's run to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, while they have not looked out of place among the cut and thrust of life in the Premier League.[LNB]Arteta believes the continued progression of home-grown talent bodes well for the future at Goodison Park and feels the likes of Rodwell and Gosling fully deserve the plaudits they have received this season.[LNB]"We have to give them all the credit," the Spaniard told the Liverpool Echo.[LNB]"We talk to them, we try to help them when they are on the pitch with us because we know they have got talent.[LNB]Character"When you have got talent, the rest will come. We have needed them to do it quickly and they have got to keep producing great performances.[LNB]"But they did that against Aston Villa (in the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday) and they also showed great character. Dan scored in the last round and now Jack has done."[LNB]Everton boss David Moyes has also hailed the efforts of versatile 17-year-old Rodwell.[LNB]"Sometimes he's nearly horizontal he's that laid back," said the Scot.[LNB]"He's a real good boy, he wants to improve and he's got a great manner in the way he goes about his job." [LNB]
