Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta is confident that after knocking out Liverpool and Aston Villa they can go on and lift the FA Cup.[LNB] The Spaniard was influential as the Toffees defeated Martin O'Neill's men 3-1 at Goodison Park on Sunday. [LNB]Youth team graduate Jack Rodwell benefited from an Arteta corner which the Villa defence failed to clear on four minutes before he added a second himself from the penalty spot on 24 minutes.[LNB]The 26-year-old believes that the result was made more impressive given the fact that the home side were forced to field a midfield that saw 17-year-old Rodwell joined by Dan Gosling, just two years his senior.[LNB]Spirit"We were struggling to put our first XI out with all the injuries and the suspensions but the spirit was incredible today," he told the Daily Mirror.[LNB]"We stepped up another gear and we are through. It's a massive game after the Liverpool win but now we want to keep going.[LNB]"This is the only way we can win a trophy with Everton and we have a chance if we can keep on playing like we have for the last few months."[LNB]Meanwhile midfielder Tim Cahill dedicated his strike, which sealed the game at 3-1, to the people who had lost their lives and the thousands made homeless in the bush fires in his native Australia.[LNB]"When something like that happens it puts it all in perspective. What I did was only little but I'm really happy I could contribute," he told The Sun.[LNB]
