Arsenal's Philippe Senderos linked with Everton

Lescott is a target for big-spending Manchester City, who are expected to make a renewed bid having had a previous £18m offer rejected. Should Lescott swap Goodison Park for Eastlands, Moyes will have to move quickly to plug the gap left in central defence and he has earmarked Senderos as the ideal replacement. Senderos, a Switzerland international, spent last season on loan at AC Milan but the Rossoneri did not take up the option of a £6m buy-out clause and the player has now returned to Arsenal. However, he is reportedly seen as surplus to requirements at Arsenal, despite their recent sale of Kolo Toure, and Everton are preparing a £6m swoop. Should Senderos leave, the summer transfer window will be witnessed the departures from the Emirates of the Swiss, Emmanuel Adebayor and Toure, while Emmanuel Eboue is expected to sign for Fiorentina in a £9m transfer. It means Arsene Wenger will have raised almost £50m and the Frenchman is ready to start spending. Top of his list is £12m-rated Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh, while a £3m move for St Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi is also on the cards.
