All eyes turn to the Europa League as Fulham, Everton and Liverpool prepare to hit the road

After a week of explosive Champions League and FA Cup action, attention now turns to the Europa League. Three English teams are hoping to progress to the last 16 - Fulham, Everton and Liverpool - with all of them holding a one-goal advantage. Everton, though, have been hit by a late problem. The Toffees' Nigerian players Joseph Yobo and Yakubu became stuck in Amsterdam on Wednesday night after visa problems prevented them from travelling with the rest of the squad for Thursday's clash with Sporting Lisbon. Defender Yobo and striker Yakubu were due to arrive in Lisbon on a supporters' flight from the Dutch capital at 4am this morning and travel to the team's Dom Pedro hotel, but the mix-up casts doubt over their participation. An Everton spokesman said: 'There is a minor issue over visas but it's all being sorted out and they should be available.' Should Yobo not make it, the door could be open for Phil Jagielka to make his return to first team action sooner than expected, after 10 months on the sidelines with a knee ligament injury.  Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez gets grilled by Romania's press and asked: Why are you so fat?American idol: Everton fans lead Facebook campaign to keep DonovanUnirea Urziceni v LIVERPOOL: Fernando Torres to start on the bench for RedsRafa's eyes on prize as boss refuses to see Europa League as anti-climaxFulham playmaker Gera backs on-fire Zamora for England call-upAl Fayed forced to apologise after Shakhtar were refused entry to HarrodsLIVERPOOL FC
