AJ slams exit rumours

Everton's England striker Andrew Johnson has dismissed press speculation that he is seeking a summer exit from the Toffees to return to the south of England.

The 26-year-old joined Everton last summer from Crystal Palace for £8.6million and has netted ten goals in 26 Premiership appearances for the Merseyside outfit to date.

He told the club's official website: "If I could sign here for the rest of my career I would do it tomorrow.

"I am more than happy here, I love the club, the fans and the lads in the dressing room.

"I am sure the fans can see how much I love it here in my football, but I want to make it clear there is no truth in this report.

"I love being an Everton player and I regard it as a great honour to put that blue shirt on every week. I would love to think I will still be here in seven years."
