Everton have rewarded young striker Kieran Agard with a new two-year contract as he looks to make the breakthrough into David Moyes' first-team squad. The 19-year-old has progressed through the ranks at Goodison Park after moving to Merseyside from Arsenal three years ago. Agard was named the reserve team's player of the season last term after being elevated to the second string following his goalscoring exploits for the Under-18 side. The fleet-footed forward has now travelled with the first-team squad to Switzerland for their pre-season training camp and is eager to make his mark. He told the club's official website: "I'm absolutely delighted. "Two years is a good amount of time to show what I can do and hopefully I can give the manager food for thought. "It was great to be named reserve player of the year last season and I've had time to go away and reflect with my family on the good bits and bad bits. "I know what I need to do and I'm looking forward to it."
