2010/11 Fixtures

Unusually, Everton start their next league campaign away from home, for only then sixth time since the Premier League began. The last time was in 2003/04 when the Blues went down 1-2 at Arsenal - this time we'll be facing Blackburn at Ewood Park. And the last time we faced Blackburn on the opening day was in 2008/09 when our season got off to it's usual dreadful start and we went down 2-3 to Paul Ince's Rovers thanks to a 90th Minute strike by Anre Oiijer. Our first home game is on Saturday 21st September against Wolves. We've then got a tricky tie away at Villa and then it's Man United at home Saturday September 11th. The first derby of the season is at Goodison on Saturday 16th October with the return leg at their place coming on Saturday 15th January. Other fixtures to look out for are Arsenal at home on November 13th and a potential title-decider on the last day of the season as we face Chelasea at home on Sunday 22nd May. Our trip to Blackpool is on November 6th so it's over there for Bonnie night on the Friday, see the lights and that, then Bloomfield Road and the Big One on the Saturday! The glaring thing about these fixtures though is that it hasn't thrown up a run of really hard games as the tougher games are always interspersed with very winnable fixtures...which makes a nice change! I'm not allowed to replicate the fixtures on here so the full fixture list can be viewed on the official site.
