Tamudo linked with quartet

Espanyol legend Raul Tamudo is believed to be on the wishlists of four English outfits and they could make their moves for the striker in January.

The 32-year-old, who is the club's all-time record goalscorer with 129 league strikes in 334 games, is likely to leave Espanyol before the season comes to a close.

Premier League trio Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth and Wigan Athletic are all keeping tabs on the diminutive star, while Championship high-flyers Newcastle United are keen on the former Spain international.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is rumoured to be looking to offload unsettled Russian Roman Pavlyuchenko and Tamudo could fill a void if any move goes ahead.

The frontman made his debut for the Barcelona-based outfit in 1996 and has played 13 times for the Spain national team.
