Tamudo hits out at rumours

Espanyol forward Raul Tamudo said he was 'very, very angry' at reports suggesting he was attempting to instigate a move away from the Barcelona-based club.

Tamudo, who has failed to score in his two matches this season, is out of contract in the summer and, it had been claimed, was aiming to leave in January, with Wigan Athletic one suggested destination.

"What I have made very clear is that I do not want to force my way out of Espanyol because I want to stay," he stated in El Mundo Deportivo.

"If they offered me a new deal right now I would sign it. All I want is to finish my career here.

"I do not deserve to be treated the way that some people are doing so."
