Pochettino praises Espanyol

Espanyol coach Mauricio Pochettino hailed the performance of his struggling side in their 3-1 win at home to Deportivo La Coruna.

The Barcelona-based club are still rock-bottom in La Liga and are six points adrift of safety.

However, Pochettino said afterwards: "This result has given us all a little more hope and enthusiasm. It was important to break our negative streak.

"These three points are very important give us a responsibility to work a bit more.

"The team was comfortable, we have proven that we are a good team with a good group of players and this is the line to follow."
