Kameni commits to Espanyol

Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni has ended doubts about his future by signing a new four-year contract with the Barcelona-based club.

The 25-year-old Cameroon international had made noises that he was preparing to move on, but he now penned a deal running until the summer of 2013.

Sporting director, Ramon Planes, told the club's official website: "We have arrived at an agreement for renewal and Kameni has told us that he is happy to stay at Espanyol.

"It is a good agreement for both parties and fits our philosophy well. We do not want negotiations to go on for too long.
