Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni is in trouble with the club's official supporters' club following an alleged altercation with a fan.

The supporters' group has called on the club to fine and ban the Cameroon keeper after he was reported to have held down and then verbally abused a fan who shouted at him during an open training session.

"We consider that he does not deserve to wear the shirt of Espanyol and we ask that the player be sanctioned with the highest possible punishment the club's disciplinary code will allow," read a statement from the supporters' club.

"He has acted with aggression and therefore, the appropriate penalty must come into effect.

"In the past, our supporters have fought to banish any violence from our stadium and Kameni must set a similar example to all, especially to the children.

"It is intolerable that he commits an outrageous act towards the most important partner of the club, the fans."
