Zamora absence now five months
Fulham have revised Bobby Zamora's recovery from a broken leg to five months - meaning a Premier League return will not be until February at the earliest. The striker, 29, who made his England debut against Hungary in August, broke a bone in his right leg and damaged ankle ligaments in the Cottagers' 2-1 win over Wolves on Saturday. He had surgery on Sunday, and the London club are now braced for a lengthy recovery. "Bobby's had his operation. He will now be in bed with his leg elevated for two weeks," said Mark Hughes, the Fulham manager. "The operation showed ligament damage so we're probably now looking at five months. "We want to help Bobby get back quickly and there are no concerns over his ability to get back to the level he was before he got injured."
