Zamora, 29, attracted interest from Liverpool and Birmingham City in the summer and has been given the four-year deal to ward off bids in the January transfer window. It completes a remarkable transformation for Zamora, who moved to Craven Cottage in 2008 after struggling to make an impact at Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham United. He impressed enough - scoring 19 goals for the Cottagers last season - to be given an England debut in August, starting for the Three Lions in the friendly win over Hungary at Wembley.
