Poor old Robert Green. As if making a terrible mistake in the biggest game of his career wasn't enough to deal with, now he's got the World Cup ball manufacturers slagging him off along with the whole of the English media.
The former Norwich man mentioned the movement of the much criticised Jabulani ball as a reason behind his goalkeeping howler on Saturday night, but Adidas have been quick to respond.
Adidas's Thomas Schaikvan said: "We are happy with the ball's performance and we don't think it had anything to do with the goal England conceded. On the contrary, if you look at the games so far, some goalkeepers have been the stars of the tournament.
"The Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama and United States goalkeeper Tim Howard won the man-of-the-match award in their games, and the South Africa goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune was also excellent against Mexico."
Who'd have thought we'd wake up on Monday wishing we'd had a Nigerian keeper between the sticks against the USA?
PANCAKES FOR MALOUDA
Before the game between France and Uruguay on Friday evening, rumours began circulating about a fall-out between Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda and French boss Raymond Domenech.
Malouda started the game on the bench, coming on as a late substitute despite having enjoyed an excellent domestic campaign at Stamford Bridge.
But when questioned about the incident, the former Lyon winger seemed to have other things on his mind.
Malouda said: "It may appear surprising to you, but it was a defensive choice. That's how the manager presented it to me.
"I learned of it at 4pm after the meal. It didn't affect my digestion, the pancakes were very good, but there was real disappointment."
Pancakes and disappointment? What a strange lunch.
FLYING THE FLAG

Angry residents have hit out at the Cambridge housing association after being banned from flying England flags during the World Cup.
Apparently the sight of a St George's cross could be "offensive" to some people.
I've not seen anything more ridiculous since Rustenburg on Saturday evening.
