Worawi set for Reid talks

Football Association of Thailand president Worawi Makudi is set to travel to England for clear-the-air talks with national-team coach Peter Reid. Worawi has dismissed talk linking Reid with the vacant assistant manager's job at Stoke as a rumour and insisted the former Sunderland and Manchester City manager would fulfil his contract with Thailand, which expires in 2012. Reid's future became more confused later on Tuesday when he was quoted by the Sentinel newspaper in Stoke saying he was looking forward to working with Potters boss Tony Pulis. And with Thailand obviously wanting to put an end to the issue, Worawi will use his visit to England as a guest of the Football Association to meet Reid. "I am going to England and I will discuss the matter with him," Worawi told the Bangkok Post. Pulis confirmed he was hoping to seal a deal to bring Reid to the Britannia Stadium this week after Reid was in the directors' box at Birmingham on Saturday.
