Woodrow gets call-up
England Under-21 coach Gareth Southgate has named his squad for the European Championship qualifier against Wales and the Toulon Tournament, with Fulham striker Cauley Woodrow one of a number of players receiving their first call-up.
With a six-point gap at the top of Group 1, qualification for the 2015 tournament in the Czech Republic will be all-but assured if England can beat Wales in Swansea next Monday night.
Following the qualifier, the squad will fly to France to participate in the Toulon Tournament, coming up against Qatar, Colombia, Brazil and South Korea in their group.
With a number of players involved in the FA Cup final or the Football League play-offs, Southgate has taken the opportunity to bring in some new faces.
Woodrow, who scored his first Barclays Premier League goal for Fulham in the final day 2-2 draw with Hull, after he last represented England at Under-17 level.
Everton duo Ty Browning and Luke Garbutt are involved with the Under-21's for the first time with Brighton pair Solly March and Jake Forster-Caskey also receive their maiden call-ups.
Ben Gibson, Brad Smith, Jordan Cousins and Jordan Obita could also make their bows at Under-21 level while Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran is recalled into the squad.
Four members of the squad are too old to compete in the Toulon Tournament and so Wifried Zaha, Tom Ince, Danny Ings and Jesse Lingard will only take part in the Wales clash before leaving the set-up.
