Woodgate may miss out

Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate fears that an ongoing knee problem may scupper his chances of representing England in this month's Euro 2008 qualifiers against Israel and Andorra.

The 27-year-old has been struggling with the injury for several weeks, but is expected to travel with the rest of the England squad to Israel on Thursday.

But the player, who is on loan at Boro from Real Madrid, admits he does have concerns about his fitness.

"I've had a bit of a sore knee for a few weeks now," he said.

"I'll go down to the England camp and we shall see what happens.

"We'll have it looked at, but I don't know if it's okay or not."
