Wenger rules out Walcott

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has ruled Theo Walcott out of England's forthcoming games due to his ongoing back injury.

Walcott has not played for the Gunners this season and will not figure against Manchester United in Saturday's Premier League encounter at Old Trafford.

Wenger does not believe the flying winger should be considered for international duty when England face Slovenia in a friendly on September 5 before a World Cup qualifier against Croatia four days later.

"He has pain - he is out of the United game," claimed Wenger.

"England? No. There is no way. It would not be realistic.

"His last (competitive) game was in June. We are now in August. We wait until he has no pain."
