Graziano Pelle sealed Italy's victory two minutes into stoppage time when he volleyed home Antonio Candreva's cross following a swift break.
Austria 0 Hungary 2
Zoltan Stieber raced clear in the 87th minute and beat Austria goalkeeper Robert Almer with a cheeky lob to secure all three points.
France 2 Albania 0
France were frustrated by the minnows until substitute Antoine Griezmann struck in the 90th minute, before Payet grabbed an even later goal.
England 2 Wales 1
Daniel Sturridge burst into the Wales penalty area in stoppage time and threaded his shot inside the near post to settle the British derby.
Northern Ireland 2 Ukraine 0
The Irish survived six minutes of stoppage time in the best way possible, Niall McGinn doubling their lead to earn their first ever win at the Euros.
Italy 1 Sweden 0
Eder chased Giorgio Chiellini's 88th-minute long throw to drive home from outside the area and secure Italy's passage into the knockout stages.
Czech Republic 2 Croatia 2
Tomas Necid's penalty came in added time - after referee Mark Clattenburg had stopped the game with four minutes remaining after several flares went off and fighting seemingly broke out among Croatia fans.
Iceland 1 Hungary 1
Birkir Saevarsson's unfortunate own goal - he had no choice but to try and clear from inside his own goal area - denied Iceland victory as Hungary drew level in the 88th minute of their Group F tie.
