Terry back in training with Chelsea

John Terry was able to take part in training with Chelsea on Thursday - with the England defender relieved his ankle injury would not even prevent him featuring in Saturday's FA Cup final. The centre-back had x-rays on his right foot on Wednesday after fearing he had broken a bone during training, but with the scans showing no break his club said he was expected to play against Portsmouth at Wembley. Chelsea will be favourites to lift the trophy against Pompey, who finished bottom of the Premier League after a season marred by a financial meltdown. Should the Blues complete victory to add to their Premier League title it would be their first league and FA Cup double. Terry's expected appearance on Saturday will also be welcome relief for the England coach Fabio Capello, who will have been alarmed by initial reports yesterday that Terry was a doubt for the World Cup with the injury.
