Jermaine Defoe will be out for six weeks with the ankle injury he suffered during England's victory over Switzerland in Basle on Tuesday night. Defoe, 27, had to be carried off on a stretcher during the second-half of the 3-1 European Championship win. He was the second Tottenham player to suffer an injury on Three Lions duty this week, with Michael Dawson facing two months out with knee and ankle ligament damage. Arsenal are also waiting to find out how serious the injury to Theo Walcott is, after he went over on an ankle in the build-up to Wayne Rooney's opening goal.
