Russia midfielder Igor Denisov appears certain to miss the European Championship due to injury.

The Dynamo Moscow player, 32, suffered a thigh injury in Sunday's friendly against Serbia, which finished 1-1.

Coach Leonid Slutsky told Russian news agency TASS: "Denisov has a serious injury and without doubt we will have to replace him.

"We are in contact with another player who plays in the same position."

Russia are rivals of both England and Wales, as well as Slovakia, in Group B in France. They begin their campaign against England on June 11.
