Rooney legal case will wait

Judgment in legal action against Wayne Rooney from his former management agency will not be passed until after the World Cup - avoiding him being hit with a bill of millions of pounds while in South Africa. Proactive have not managed Rooney and his wife Coleen since 2008, but argue they are entitled to commission on contracts agreed when they did. The Rooneys are now represented by Paul Stretford, a former director of Proactive. Judge Brendan Heggarty QC is reportedly ready to pass judgment on the case. "We have been assured that no judgment in this case will be handed down at least until Wayne's involvement in the World Cup in South Africa is complete," said a spokesman for Rooney.
