Frank Nouble, who scored twice as the England U19 side opened the European Championship with a win on Sunday, said he and his teammates will improve as the tournament goes on. Nouble's two goals helped England to a 3-2 win over Austria. Thomas Cruise also scored. The West Ham youngster compared the match to a pre-season game. Despite words of caution from coach Noel Blake, who warned improvement is needed against Holland and France in the remaining group games, Nouble was in an upbeat mood. "It is still pre-season for us and in terms of gelling, we can only get better during the tournament," he said. "While we weren't at our best, it's tournament football and we won so we can hopefully show more of our qualities in the games to come. "We're just trying to focus on the tournament here and we want to concentrate on what we do first. We know that we're a good side and we want to keep working to reach our targets and not what everyone else is talking about. "The boys know that if they play well here, then there is always the chance to play for the U21s in the next tournament but that all comes down to our performance and attitude here."
