Next England Manager poll: Redknapp, Mourinho and Pearce do battle
Published: 09 Feb 2012 - 09:31:11
Well you continue to have your say and the results are looking interesting with Harry Redknapp clear but not the overwhelming favourite to succeed Capello at 53%.
Jose Mournho is fast picking up votes and is now approaching 25% with Stuart Pearce third on 11%. Still plenty of time before this poll closes at the end of the day before the final result is published.
One way certainly to look at the poll is almost 50% of people don't want Harry or dont think for whatever reason he will be selected (at present at least).
Some interesting and fun views coming through on our facebook page:
Gary - "Too much pressure comes with the English manager job. If he leaves Spurs and doesn't get it right he will go from a well respected, well liked man for how he has managed to move Spurs forward, to one of the most hated men in English football as all fans will turn against him."
YanHou - "Harry is the obvious choice but a checkered past an recent tax evasion allegations may put paid to that dream... I tink Jose Mourinho might be the dark horse to take over."
Kyle - "Just imagine how sexy English national football would be with Redknapp at tIe helm...however if its a short term manager i.e to see us the euros then I'd like to see mourinho have a go...whatever happens they'll need to get someone in fast and get set up with a few top quality advisors..."
Liam - "James corden"
Poll now closed, results to follow
