Tom Huddlestone is aiming to get into the England squad after 34 caps at under-21 level. The Tottenham midfielder was back in his secondary role as central defensive cover for the game against Bolton last weekend and faced 90 minutes against Bolton hitman Kevin Davies. Huddlestone and central defensive partner Sebastien Bassong coped well as Spurs came away with a 2-2 draw but now he wants to push for a place in Fabio Capello's England squad. "I had four-and-a-half years with the Under-21's, that was enjoyable but I'm too old now," said Huddlestone, whose last cap came against France in March. "The next step is the senior squad so hopefully I'll be able to kick on and get in that squad. "I've been in the last two preliminary squads but not managed to get in the final 23. I'm going along the right path hopefully."
