Michael Mancienne has revealed his surprise at being named in the full England squad for Wednesday's friendly international against Germany.
Mancienne, 20, is currently on loan at Championship leaders Wolves from Chelsea and could made his first international appearance despite being yet to make his Premier League debut for the Blues.
The London-born youngster was expecting to be part of the under-21 squad to take on Czech Republic on Tuesday before discovering he was in Fabio Capello's 23-man full squad for the meeting with Germany in Berlin.
"It is the dream of every boy to play for their country and it is fantastic to be in the squad," he admitted.
"I was focused on being in the under-21 squad so this was great news.
"It will be a fantastic game to be involved in and just being around the squad will be superb.
"Having some of the other Chelsea lads in the squad as well will be a real boost for me."
