Man Utd's Owen still has England aspirations

One player barely considered to bring into the England squad after the World Cup disappointment was Michael Owen, the Manchester United forward is not willing to give up on his dreams of playing for his country again. Owen earned 89 caps for his country, but it has been more than two years since he was last called up. Owen has struggled with injuries since his heyday at Liverpool and Real Madrid, but is confident he could still do a job for his country if called upon. "I played for England for many years, starting when I was 18.I played basically right the way through until about two years ago, which was my last game. So hopefully I will play for them again one day, you never know," he said.
