Lampard goal sinks Spain

Acting skipper Frank Lampard earned England a shock 1-0 victory over World Cup winners Spain with his second-half goal at Wembley.

The Chelsea midfielder struck in the 49th minute after Darren Bent's header hit the post.

Spain dominated for long periods but holding midfielder Scott Parker and defenders Joleon Lescott and Phil Jagielka were outstanding in keeping them at bay.
