Lampard starts for England against Wales

Frank Lampard was recalled to England's starting line-up here Tuesday as manager Fabio Capello made two changes for his side's Euro 2012 qualifier against Wales at Wembley.

Lampard was dropped for the first time in four years for last Friday's 3-0 victory over Bulgaria, a decision widely seen as marking the beginning of the end of the Chelsea player's international career.

However Lampard's exile proved to be shortlived as Capello named him to start in central midfield in place of Tottenham's Scott Parker.

In another change from the Bulgaria match, Capello brought in Manchester City's James Milner in place of Walcott after the Arsenal winger complained of a sore hamstring.

Elsewhere Capello kept faith with the back four which started against Bulgaria, with Chris Smalling and Ashley Cole at right and left back either side of captain John Terry and Gary Cahill.

Stewart Downing completes the midfield three with Ashley Young with Wayne Rooney leading the attack.
