Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is confident England's managerial saga will not derail their European Championship campaign.
The 33-year-old claims the squad is good enough to make light of Fabio Capello's shock departure in Poland and Ukraine, whoever takes charge for the tournament.
Lampard, who has seen plenty of managers come and go at club and international level, told uefa.com: "It's something as a player you learn to cope with. Managers leave at times you don't expect them to sometimes."
He added: "Can it be a negative because we've lost a manager and we lose our way, or can it be positive because we galvanise ourselves, whoever comes into lead us galvanises the team and it goes very well?
"We've seen that happen so many times.
"The important thing in this situation is that you've got the ability in the squad and in the players. And I believe in the squad we have that.
"So, for me, I don't think it makes much difference. It'll only be us who can dictate what difference it makes by playing well."
Lampard's international career appeared to be winding down before Capello quit and, at 33, he accepts Euro 2012 could be one of his last chances to win something.
He said: "It's realistically going to be one of my last tournaments.
"I'd love to be part of an England squad that goes there and starts well and looks like we can go all the way, and hopefully then my part can be big in that and I can help the team."
