ITV to show England-Montenegro clash

ITV have reached an agreement with agency Sportfive over the live broadcast rights for England's World Cup qualifier against Montenegro on Tuesday.

There had been doubts over whether the broadcaster would be able to provide live coverage of the Group H match, which kicks off at 8pm UK time. It is understood ITV paid an upfront fee to Kentaro to secure rights to show the game but then had to try to negotiate a new deal with Sportfive after the Football Association of Montenegro ended its relationship with Kentaro.

An ITV spokesman told Press Association Sport: "An outline agreement is now in place with Sportfive to secure the game for ITV so it can bring the coverage to our viewers as planned."

England sit second in Group H on eight points, two behind leaders Montenegro.

They both have qualifiers on Friday night, England playing away to rock-bottom San Marino while Montenegro take on Moldova in Chisinau.
