    Injured trio worry Sven

    15 Mar 2006 - 13:38:41

England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson is growing increasingly concerned by the number of experienced members of his squad that are still suffering from long-term injuries.

Michael Owen, Ashley Cole and Sol Campbell are all currently sidelined and, with less than two months of the domestic campaign left, the Swede is worried that the trio will not have enough time to prove their fitness before this summer's World Cup Finals.

"I spoke to Ashley Cole twice recently and he thinks he will be back in training in two weeks," said Eriksson.

"Michael Owen is supposed to be ready very soon and Sol played in a reserve game the other day and that's very good news.

"I have concerns about all of them because we are in the middle of March and the season finishes for them at the beginning of May."

Possible squad members Kieron Dyer, Jonathan Woodgate, Wayne Bridge and Owen Hargreaves have also struggled with injuries this term.
